About Me
Originally a professional dancer, I discovered the physical practice of Yoga in 2019 as many of us do to improve my flexibility. It took a little thing like a global pandemic for me to see there was so much more to this practice than the asana (postures). It was then that the healing benefits literally kept me balanced when everything around me felt unsteady. And as a former dancer, it felt incredible to be able to move my body for myself and for healing rather than from a place of performance and pleasing others.
In 2021, I had something of an epiphany of self belief. What if I could combine my gift for movement and the deeper gifts of this ancient practice to help others. So it was then that I decided to take my 200hr YTT and start teaching.
I take my inspiration from my own wonderful teachers and you can expect a strong, creative and mindful practice with a few drills here and there for good measure.
In recent years I have also started teaching Mobility which I am low key obsessed with. This is not a flexibility session but rather a strength session at your end ranges of motion designed to make your flexibility stick and to avoid injury. Perfect to open up ranges in a stiff body and to protect hypermobile bodies from injury.
I couldn’t love my job as a teacher and coach more and feel so fulfilled when I see my students walk out having taken what they needed and seeing them reach and smash goals they never thought possible. See you on the mat. xx
